Indications:

This medication is used for growth retardation caused by growth hormone deficiency due to pituitary dysfunction, growth delay in prepubertal children with chronic renal failure, replacement therapy for severe adult growth hormone deficiency occurring in childhood or adulthood, and to stimulate multifollicular development in patients undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART).

Side Effects:
  • Mild and temporary pain, redness, swelling, itching, or skin sensitivity at the injection site.
  • Joint, bone, or muscle pain.
  • Nausea, vomiting, headache, bloating, or abdominal pain may indicate ovarian hyperstimulation.
    These effects can be reduced by following the physician’s instructions on dosage and undergoing proper monitoring.

Injection Instructions

STEP 1

Wash hands thoroughly.

STEP 2

Using a 3cc syringe, insert into the reconstituted vial and withdraw the prescribed volume.

STEP 3

 (Repeat as needed per prescription.)

STEP 4

Disinfect the injection site (within three fingers’ width on either side of the navel) in a circular motion from the center outward.
Pinch the skin, inject at a 90-degree angle into the subcutaneous layer, slowly inject the medication,
wait 10 seconds, then remove the needle. Press the site gently with an alcohol swab (do not massage).

STEP 5

Collect used syringes, needles, and vials, and return them to medical staff at your next appointment.
