Injection Instructions
STEP 1
Wash your hands thoroughly.
STEP 2
Hold the needle upright and gently flick the syringe to bring air bubbles to the top.
Then slowly push the plunger upward until all air is expelled and a droplet appears at the needle tip.
STEP 3
Disinfect the injection site (two fingers below and to the left or right of the navel) in a circular motion from the center outward. Pinch the skin and inject the medication at a 90-degree angle subcutaneously. Slowly inject the medication and remove the needle after injection. Press the site gently with an alcohol swab for 1 minute (do not massage).
STEP 4
Return the used syringe to medical staff at your next visit.
