Puregon 300 IU Ovulation Injection

Indications:

This medication is indicated for women who do not ovulate even after treatment with Clomiphene Citrate, for patients undergoing assisted reproductive technology to stimulate the development of multiple follicles, and for men with reduced spermatogenesis caused by gonadotropin deficiency.

Side Effects:
  • Mild and temporary redness or itching at the injection site.
  • Nausea, vomiting, headache, bloating, or abdominal pain may indicate ovarian hyperstimulation.These effects can be reduced by adhering to the prescribed dosage and undergoing proper monitoring.

Injection Instructions

STEP 1

Wash hands thoroughly.

STEP 2

Remove the pen cap. Unscrew the pen body and insert the cartridge with the rubber end facing down. Screw the pen body back together tightly.

STEP 3

Turn the dose setting knob to match the prescribed dosage. (If over-rotated, continue to the maximum dosage mark, return to 0, and reset.)

STEP 4

Once the dose is confirmed, take a new needle and remove the protective seal. Screw the needle clockwise onto the pen until secure.

STEP 5

 Disinfect the injection site (within three fingers’ width below the navel on either side) in a circular motion from the inside out. Pinch the skin and insert the needle at a 90° angle. Press the injection button fully, wait 10 seconds, then remove the needle. Gently press the site with an alcohol swab (do not massage).

STEP 6

Remove the needle as in step 4 and recap the injection pen. (If medication remains, store the pen in the refrigerator.)

STEP 7

Collect used needles. Return the needle and cartridge container to the medical staff at your next visit.
