Used for controlled ovarian stimulation to induce the development of multiple follicles.
- Mild and temporary redness or itching at the injection site.
- Possible symptoms include pelvic discomfort, nausea, and headache.
- Risk of ovarian hyperstimulation.
Injection Instructions
STEP 1
Wash hands thoroughly.
STEP 2
Open the package and remove the prefilled syringe.
STEP 3
Twist off the cap of the syringe and attach the yellow needle.
STEP 4
Hold the needle upward and gently push the plunger to remove all air bubbles until a droplet appears at the needle tip.
STEP 5
Disinfect an area within three fingers’ width on either side of the navel in a circular motion from the inside out.
Pinch the skin and inject the needle at a 90-degree angle subcutaneously. Slowly push in the medication and keep the needle in place for 10 seconds. Remove the needle and press the site gently with an alcohol swab for 1 minute (do not massage).
STEP 6
Collect the used syringe, needle, and vial and return them to medical staff at your next visit.
