Sperm freezing is a procedure where sperm is collected, purified, concentrated, and then stored in liquid nitrogen at –196°C.
When needed, the frozen sperm can be thawed and used in IVF (in vitro fertilization) or IUI (intrauterine insemination) treatments.
At Huayu, we perform a CASA (Computer Assisted Sperm Analysis) test during sperm freezing to evaluate the health of the sample—motility, concentration, and morphology—before proceeding with cryopreservation.
How many vials will be frozen?
Typically, 4 to 6 vials of sperm are frozen, depending on the quality and volume of the sample.
