After ten years of being together and married, my husband and I had never successfully experienced intercourse due to his physiological condition. As we approached the next decade of our life together, we discussed the desire to have a child. After researching many reproductive centers online, we found Dr. Ming-I Hsu, the director of Huayu IVF Clinic.

Following consultations and examinations, we initially felt calm but soon became disappointed when my husband was diagnosed with azoospermia (no sperm in the semen). Still, we were determined to have a child. With Dr. Hsu’s help, we found a urologist who assessed his condition and told us:
“Sperm can be retrieved directly from the testicles through surgery, though they may have low motility.”

This news rekindled our hope. With the efforts of Dr. Hsu and the urologist, I retrieved 13 eggs. Together with my husband’s sperm, 5 embryos successfully developed into blastocysts. Considering our age and circumstances, we chose to do PGS testing. Two embryos had excellent reports, and after implantation, I successfully became pregnant.
Now, our baby is already 5 months old! This little one is the best gift we received this year.
