IVF Success at Age 43!
A 43-year-old woman repeatedly failed IVF cycles despite having high-quality D5 embryos and a normal uterine condition, eventually reaching the point of not retrieving any eggs. Under the care of Dr. Cheng-Wei Wang, she underwent two cycles yielding two D3 embryos. An ERA test revealed her endometrial implantation window was unusually shifted, occurring 12–24 hours earlier than average. By adjusting the transfer timing accordingly, she successfully conceived and is now in a stable pregnancy. This case highlights that IVF failure is not always due to poor egg quality; factors such as sperm, uterus, implantation site, and timing can also play a role, requiring experience and data for accurate intervention.
